With the launch of my new technology-based videos on my Successful Messages YouTube channel, newer users of Microsoft Outlook may find my video on basic calendaring helpful. The video series ‘Got a Minute or Two?’ will soon expand to include videos on writing, education, and virtual assistance.
Outlook’s Calendar
Calendar is robust and fully featured. In addition, it is integrated with other main features/folders of Outlook. All this makes for a powerful feature of a powerful personal information manager (PIM). Yes, Outlook is much more than simply an email app. The main features of Calendar include:
- Creating appointments and events
- Organizing meetings
- Viewing group schedules
- Viewing multiple calendars in more than one way
- Linking calendars to SharePoint
- Sharing and viewing other calendars
- Managing other calendars
The first video I’ve created on calendaring in Outlook is based on my calendars. I show you how to change views, but perhaps more importantly, how to view multiple calendars on your screen. My next video in the Outlook ‘Got a Minute or Two?’ series will be about effectively using Calendar with other Outlook features, with a focus on ease of use.
